 Bad habits thatdamage our brain

We’ll introduce here habits that affect the brain and may damage it.
- No breakfast:this meal is really the most important in the whole day, but when avoided all the time, the blood sugar levels get spiked and low and irregular. After a night of sleep and no eating, you need food. Otherwise the brain gets no nutrition and is easily damaged.
- No sleep:no sleeping for a long period of time reduce healthy brain cells. Sleep repair the whole body from the stress and regenerates every day.
-Toomuchsugar: sadly, there is sugar in everything we eat or drink. You’ll benefit a lot if you reduce it. For starters you can absorb more nutrients in the absence of sugar and prevent brain issues.
-Overeating: this makes you gain weight, be obese, damages the stems in the brain and reduce the mental focus.
-Smoking:the worst of all habits here. It has many side effects but for the brain, it causes shrinkage and dementia related issues like Alzheimer’s.
- Covered head during sleep: it sounds wired but we need as much oxygen as we can get during the night, this limits you to breathe in the whole oxygen. Also, you get more carbon dioxide this way.
- Polluted air:you can’t wear a mask all the time of course, and there’s not much you can do with this. The brain needs a lot of oxygen and this polluted air deprives us of it.
- Working when ill: we all are in a rush, speeding, having too much things to do. We all work when we are sick, one thing or another. But this means the body is begging for rest! Give the body some rest!
- Rarely talking: talking makes the brain work and activates it. Engage in intellectual talks as much as you can and boost the health of the brain.
- Lack of good thoughts and stimulations:to think also engages the brain in healthy work. It opens up new pathways and activates every segment of the brain. You’ve to work the brain all the time, otherwise it shrinks up or gets damages due to inactivity. Why not working on the skills you might be great at? Learn, talk, think!

- Boost Hearth health: research done at the university of Michigan suggest that tart cherries provide cardiovascular benefits and can reduce the risk of stroke – without the serious side effects that come with prescribed medications

-   High source of antioxidants: Anthocyanins and cyanidin are two components of cherries that provide powerful antioxidants, making cherries a high-antioxidant food; in fact, a study published in the Journal of Natural Products found that the nthocyanins and cyanidin isolated from tart cherries exhibited better anti-inflammatory activity than aspirin Cherries also serve as a natural treatment for macular degeneration and glaucoma because of their powerful antioxidants that help prevent eye damage.
- Treat Gout: a study published in Arthritis & Rheumatism evaluated 633 individuals with gout who were treated with cherry extract over a two-day period. This cherry treatment was associated with a 35% lower risk of gout attacks. When cherry intake was combined with allopurinol use, a prescribed medication for gout and kidney stones, the risk of gout attacks was 75 % lower.
- Reduce inflammation: in one study, women consumed two servings of sweet cherries after an overnight fast. The blood and urine samples that were taken before and after the cherry dose indicate that cherries decreased inflammation, inhibited inflammatory pathways and lowered plasma urate, which is the salt derived from uric acid.
- High in potassium: a cup of cherries fulfills 9% of your recommended daily value of potassium. Potassium reduces the risk of stroke, alleviates hypertension and high blood pressure, reduces muscle cramping, and improves muscle strength.
- Treat Osteoarthritis: a study done at the Osteoarthritis Research Center evaluated 58 non-diabetic patients with osteoarthritis who drank two eight-ounce bottles of tart cherry juice daily for six weeks. As a result of the study, WOMAC scores decreased significantly after the tart cherry juice treatment. High sensitivity scores also declined after the cherry treatment – suggesting that the tart cherry juice provided symptom relief for patient with osteoarthritis.
- Help sleep cycle: tart cherry juice contains high levels of phytochemicals, including melatonin, a molecule critical in regulating our sleep-wake cycle.Melatonin is a hormone made by the pineal gland, a small gland in the brain, it helps control sleep and wake cycles.

 Health Benefits of Red Onion

 1 – Enhance detoxification pathways :
Red onions are believed to increase the activity of glutathione and SOD (superoxide dismutase). These defense systems protect against cancer by inhibiting inflammation, repairing DNA and tissue damage, neutralizing free radicals, eliminating carcinogens from the liver, and supporting a variety of detoxification pathways that remove toxins from the body.

 2 – Increase overall immunity:
Red onions contain health promoting compounds that improve your overall immune response.
They are also a useful carminative herb that enhance digestive function and improves imbalances in gut microflora. The flavonoid content that contributes to these chemo preventive properties is higher in red onions than in their white or yellow family members.

 3 – Regulates sugar levels:
One of the benefits of consuming red onions instead of yellow or white is due to their low glycemic index. Red onions have a glycemic index (GI) of 10 out of scale of 0 to 100.
This means that red onions are slower to release energy which increases blood glucose levels and can reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

4 – Suppresses cancer cell growth & development:
Red onions contain high levels of quercetin which has been shown in studies to reduce the risk of laryngeal, gastric, andreproductive – related cancers.
It also contains anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants that help protect against tumor growth.
